'Harry Potter' star Rupert Grint aka Ron Weasley joins Instagram; shares first photo with daughter

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint and partner Georgia Groome welcomed a baby girl earlier this year. Now, the actor who has been away from the world of social media joined Instagram on Tuesday. His first photo instantly went viral on the Internet as it was with none other than his newborn baby girl. Yes, Rupert posted a cute selfie of holding his daughter in his arms and also revealed her name which is Wednesday G. Grint.

In the photo, Rupert is seen in a black T-Shirt and a grey cap while his baby girl whose face is hidden is seen in a pink sweater and she is clinging on to her dad. Grint captioned his post stating, "Hey Instagram....only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert."

Rupert's Harry Potter co-star Tom Felton who played the role of Draco Malfoy commented on his post. He wrote, "Welcome Weasley, it’s about time. Love to Wednesday xx."

While James Phelps who played Fred Weasley, Rupert's reel-life sibling commented, "Nougat."

Earlier, Rupert and Georgia's representative had released a statement on the arrival of their baby girl. It read as "Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl. We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time."

While Daniel Radcliffe had congratulated Rupert on Watch What Happens Live with host Andy Cohen. He had said, "I texted him the other day. I’m so happy for him. It’s very, very cool. It is also super weird for me to think that we are all of the age where we are having children, but we definitely are."
