Tom Hanks, who turned 64-year-old today, had once stated that he wanted to 'steal everything' from Irrfan Khan, acting-wise. The actor, who is best remembered for his role in and as 'Forrest Gump', was all praises for legendary actor.

Irrfan and Tom Hanks had worked together in the Hollywood film 'Inferno', which was the book adaptation by Dan Brown. Ron Howard had helmed the film. Recollecting his meeting, Hanks had said in an interview that he found Irrfan the coolest guy in the room.

Hanks had said, "And as soon as I walked up to him I said, 'Irrfan Khan, I'm going to steal from you everything I possibly can. I'm going to start speaking very quietly in films. I'm going to wear very nice suits. And I will draw out the last sound of every sentence that I say.' And by doing that, I will be doing a very pale imitation of the coolest guy in the room."

Irrfan had also shared a note by Tom Hanks back then. It read, "Irrfan, This will be the most pleasant movie to make, I think, provided you and I have a few more scenes together! If not, we will just have to save the world as is! Tom Hanks."

Hollywood actor Mindy Kaling had recently remembered the quote. She had memorized it on Irrfan's demise. The 53-year-old actor passed away on April 30, 2020. Irrfan was battling cancer since a long time. He had received treatment in UK for it too. The reason for his demise was reported as colon infection.
