Anthony Rapp has said he is "gratified" by Hollywood's response to the allegations of sexual misconduct he made against Kevin Spacey.
The "Star Trek: Discovery" actor came forward earlier this year to allege that Spacey had made sexual advances towards him when he was just 14-years-old.
"I've been very surprised by it all. I've been very gratified by the response I've gotten from so many people. I think all of this is an important step to dismantle the machinery that allowed this sort of thing to continue," Rapp told Entertainment Tonight. He also tweeted the same on November 29.
Thank you to all of you who have been expressing support and solidarity. Your kindness is felt and much appreciated. And I have experienced such support far more than I have experienced negativity.

After the allegations were made, Spacey released a statement where he insisted he did "not remember the encounter" but said he "owes him the sincerest apology".
Oscar winner Spacey apologised for making sexual advances at Rapp. The 58-year-old House of Cards actor took to Twitter to issue and apology for his drunken behaviour, but in the note also came out as gay - a move that infuriated the community.
Soon after Rapp, three more accusers, including a journalist in London, came forward alleging sexual harassment from Spacey.
Spacey's publicist cut ties with the actor on Thursday and it was not known who currently represents him, while Netflix severed ties with Spacey, saying it will not be involved in any production of House of Cards if the actor continues to appear in the show.
