Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney and husband actor George Clooney pledged $500,000 to support March for Our Lives protest organised by students in the United States America demanding gun control.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, George Clooney released a statement that said, "Amal and I are so inspired by the courage and eloquence of these young men and women from Stoneman Douglas High School. Our family will be there on March 24 to stand side by side with this incredible generation of young people from all over the country, and in the name of our children Ella and Alexander, we’re donating 500,000 dollars to help pay for this groundbreaking event. Our children’s lives depend on it.”
The Clooneys are not the only celeb couple supporting the march. Pop star Justin Bieber, actress Julianne Moore, and a staunch gun control advocate Amy Schumer were others to boost the morale of these students.

Stunned by the deadliest high school shooting in US history, students mobilised across the country on Sunday to organise rallies and a national walkout in support of stronger gun laws, challenging politicians they say have failed to protect them.
Students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where a former student is accused of murdering 17 people on Wednesday using an assault-style rifle, joined others on social media to plan the events, including a Washington march.
Students from the Florida high school are planning a "March for Our Lives" in Washington on March 24 to call attention to school safety and ask lawmakers to enact gun control.
One of the five initial organisers of the march, Alex Wind told to CBS' Face the Nation, ""We will be marching for the 17 we lost at our school. We will be marching for everyone we lost at the Newtown Sandy Hook shooting, at Columbine, at Virginia Tech in San Bernardino, Orlando at the Pulse shooting and at Las Vegas. This is only the beginning."
Apart from Washington DC, other states will also see students march in solidarity.
