Before we wrap up 2017, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald released four new images to sweeten the festivities of the holiday season.

The four images released, focus on the main characters of the movie – Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston), Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) and young Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law).

Newt Scamander holding a postcard from Paris may hint at how the magizoologist's journey will start in the second movie of the franchise. The image is part of French magazine Premier's 2018 preview edition.

The Redmayne-Waterston image is part of Empire magazine's new year issue in which we can see the wizard couple is looking back, worried, at whatever stands behind them. Waterston looks suave in a leather jacket, (a bit too modern for the mid 20th century, isn't it?) while Redmayne does the now-standard British cool guy thing – upturn the collar.

Other two images show friends-turned-foe Grindelwald and Dumbledore. Johnny Depp fixes his stare at someone as a new character, Vinda Rosier (Poppy Corby-Tuech) looks on. Rosier is described as 'one of Grindelwald’s most trusted followers, a loyal servant to his cause and often at his side,' reports Entertainment Weekly.

Also, this is the first time we are seeing Jude Law's Albus Dumbledore in his office.

In Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, dark wizard Grindelwald has escaped the custody of MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America) and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. It will come down to Dumbledore and Scamander to stop him in his tracks.

Directed by David Yates, this new movie from JK Rowling's Harry Potter franchise is set to release on November 16, 2018
