Actor Jamie Dornan has covered The Beatles legend Paul McCartney's track 'Maybe I'm Amazed' in the soundtrack of his movie Fifty Shades Freed.

The 35-year-old actor, who reprises his role as Christan Grey in the third instalment of the film franchise, has earlier been a part of the rock band Sons of Jim, E! News reported.

Dornan shared his experience of crooning the 1970 song in an interview on ITV's Lorraine, saying although he has not heard the cover, he was not impressed with his performance.

"I presume it's not very good. I kind of got through it. There was a plan to have a longer version on the soundtrack, but they ended up just putting the bit we did on the day as a bonus track," he said.

The actor said nerves got to him when the cameras started rolling.

"We were shooting at the home of Canadian singer Sarah McLachlan and she did a rendition of a couple of her songs before (filming began). Everyone was spellbound by this amazing singing. She finished and everyone was crying, and then they were like, 'OK, Jamie, we're ready for you now.' And I had to say, 'Can everyone leave? I cannot bear to try and follow that!'" he said.

Dornan's contribution is listed as a "bonus track" officially.
