Emma Watson and boyfriend William "Mack" Knight call it quits

In the autumn of breakups, a string of celeb couples called it quits. Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky, former Saturday Night Live star Bill Hader and wife Maggie Carey, Dreamgirls singer-actor Jennifer Hudson and fiance David Otunga, Lindsey Vonn and Kenan Smith, and Selena Gomez and The Weeknd were one of the shocking of them all.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson and her boyfriend of nearly two years, William "Mack" Knight, are the latest ones to join the bandwagon, Us Magazine reported.

A source told the outlet that the Ivy League-educated pair split earlier this year, but kept the breakup under wraps.

The 27-year-old actress and the 37-year-old tech entrepreneur were first spotted together back in October 2015, when they attended the Broadway musical, Hamilton.

After shooting to fame as a child star playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, Watson graduated from Brown University in May 2014.

Knight received a Bachelor's in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton in 2003, as well as an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2011.
