Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom star Bryce Dallas Howard revealed how playing a part in Netflix's dark sci-fi show Black Mirror affected her relationship with husband Seth Gabel.

Howard's character in Black Mirror was living in a society obsessed with public image. The 2016 episode 'Nosedive' is also becoming reality if we look at a few policies Chinese government aims to deploy for its citizens. The episode commented on the effects of social media on the psyche of a person and the society. Howard said that quirky role 'absolutely affected' her.

"If my husband and I find ourselves mindlessly going on our smartphones, we say to each other, 'Are you giving away your sovereignty right now?'' she told The Daily Telegraph.

"Because you can quickly slip into a very reactive phase where you're no longer following your own instincts," she continued.

Howard revealed that she had recently joined social media platforms when she was shooting for the episode. The real-time impact of the storyline made her aware of the effect of those comments, public perception contains.

She has returned to the big screen with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. She cannot wait for her kids to watch the second instalment of the revived franchise.

"They're really excited. It's pretty cool for them right now, to the point where I don't know what I'm going to do after this," she told Closer magazine.

"I know my kids will see the film and I feel lucky to be in a movie that might touch their imagination the way the first one touched mine."

Howard is mother to Theo, 11, and  Beatrice, 5.
