Benedict Cumberbatch's babysitting skills to 'monitor Tom Holland' have 'Infinity War' directors' approval

Tom Holland is known for dolling out Marvel movies spoilers by the dozen. So much that as a new marketing strategy Marvel Studios used that as a promotional tool for announcing Spider-Man: Far From Home.

But it wasn't a cakewalk keeping tabs on him when all the stakes were high for Avengers: Infinity War. Holland managed to spill a few beans, but once the promotion for the MCU tentpole started his tag team partner managed to dial it down.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming star was paired with fellow Brit and Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch for press junkets, show appearances and what have you.

Cumberbatch has become a pro in keeping secrets since his Sherlock days. Very deftly, he also managed to keep all the details about his outing as Khan in Star Trek Into Darkness followed by his outing as Sorcerer Supreme. The experience came in handy while taking care of the young one.

Turns out, director duo Joe and Anthony Russo admire Cumberbatch's 'hard work.'

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Russo brothers talked about Holland spoiling the aspects of Avengers: Infinity War.

"What are you gonna do? You know. He’s the nicest guy in the world, so you can never be punitive towards Tom Holland," joked Joe Russo.

"By the way, Benedict is a great partner for him on the press tour. Because Benedict is actually very good at dancing around spoilers — and monitoring Tom Holland," he continued.

"That's hard work," added Anthony Russo.

Avengers 4 is on its way to theatres and the press tours shall begin as the new year rolls in. It won't take a genius to figure who will be taking care of Holland one more time.
