Warner Bros has moved up the release date of Dwayne Johnson-starrer Rampage in light of the Marvel's decision to shift Avengers: Infinity War from May 4 to April 27.

Rampage, which is directed by Brad Peyton and based on 1980s video game, will now hit the theatres on April 13 instead of its earlier announced date of April 20, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The change in schedule gives the film a full two weeks again before the arrival of the latest Avengers film.

The film follows Davis Okoye, a primatologist and head of an anti-poaching unit out of Rwanda, and his best friend George, an albino gorilla, as they fight monsters in a big city. The film also features actors Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Rampage is not the only movie changing the schedule. Amy Schummer's comedy I Feel Pretty too has moved up to April 20. Schumer made the announcement while commenting on Robert Downey Jr's post about Infinity War.

“Ok cool um well I’ll just um. April 20th is when I guess (I Feel Pretty) will come out then but it’s not cause we are scared of you guys. Um. It’s because I forgot I had a thing," her comment read.

The third Avengers movie is opening on one date worldwide that means a big window will open for making an impact on box office in the first weekend if China market is open at the same time as rest of the world.

Infinity War moving to April takes pressure off of Deadpool's untitled sequel and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Though both these movies will be releasing within a week from each in May, aiming to get more out of the summer box office.
