The Joe Russo and Anthony Russo film has become the highest opener of 2018 in India beating Bollywood films like 'Baaghi 2' by earning whopping 30 crores on Day 1 of its release. All Marvel fans are having a tough time booking their tickets as the film is expected to run with packed theatres in the entire week. Avengers Infinity War features all the supeheros of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and had a higher occupancy on day one than Bahubali - The Conclusion, the success story of which needs no retelling.
Marvel brings all all the superheroes of the past 18 films against the super-villain, Thanos. The box-office numbers are out and we are totally impressed. Avengers Infinity War released in theatres on April 27 in the US and India while Australia and a few other countries got the chance to watch it a day earlier than everyone else. But it has been a phenomenal openening for the superhero film which grossed $200 million at the worldwide box office.
On day 1, April 25, the movie collected $40 million from the international market, followed by $55 million on the next day. Then the movie opened in the US and in North America, it minted $105 million bringing the total to $200 million.
