The release of 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' is just months away with the second movie in the Harry Potter spin-off franchise set to release on November 16, 2018. To warm up the fanbase ahead of the release, the cast members of the wizard movie will be part of Warner Bros' Saturday panel at San Diego Comic-Con along with superhero movie 'Aquaman.'

A brand new poster for the movie was unveiled on Friday and given the increased activity on the social media handles of the movie, the panel will hopefully bring another trailer.

The movie became part of the controversy when fans called out the filmmakers, director David Yates and author turned screenwriter JK Rowling, for including Johnny Depp as dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald after the actor's now ex Amber Heard accused him of domestic abuse. The fandom ire hasn't subsided yet. After revealing that the character of Hogwarts principal Professor Albus Dumbledore is gay, for the purpose of movie Rowling and Yates decided not to include that part of the character's life in the storyline.

The young version of Dumbledore is being played by Jude Law, who is coming off the success of playing the younger version of the Pope in TV series Young Pope. Along with Law, we will also get to see the 'young' version of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Callum Turner, Zoe Kravitz is also among the new additions to cast of the magical story.

Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Carmen Ejogo, Ezra Miller, and Alison Sudol are also returning to reprise their respective roles.

Let's take a look at the images from 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

The first time we saw Johnny Depp play the dark wizard was in the last moments of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.' In the second trailer, we saw him go on the run and resurface in Paris. (Warner Bros)

Grindelwald escapes the custody of MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America) and sets about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. (Warner Bros)

Behold, young Albus Dumbledore. When the first trailer for 'Fantastic Beasts' sequel came out, Jude Law's avatar as Dumbledore was one of the few things fans admired the most. Here we see Dumbledore entertain people from MACUSA who ask him to help them catch and stop Grindelwald. (Warner Bros)

5. Paris calls to Newt Scamander

First thing Dumbledore does is recruit his prodigy Newt Scamander to help him in finding his once best friend and now the darkest wizard in the world. Off to the City of Light then. (Warner Bros)

Though Scamander dropped from Hogwarts to become magizoologist, turns out, Dumbledore never forgot about him and to tackle to friend-turned-foe, lover-turned-enemy Grindelwald, he needs Newt. (Warner Bros)

7. Regrouping the old team

Scamander won't be working alone. Because like Redmayne said in a recent interview, things get dark in the sequel. One needs back up. So,  did Scamander begin with his friend Jacob Kowalski? Because last we remember his memory of witnessing the magical side of the world was washed out. (Warner Bros)

8. Newtina reunited

The fandom ships Newt Scamander and Tina Goldstein as Newtina. When Newt decides to help Dumbledore, Tina seems to have become an essential part of his plan to stop and nab Grindelwald. If you pay attention, the lovers now dress alike with collar upturned jackets (Warner Bros)

9. Oh Queenie, why are you crying?

Alison Sudol's Queenie was the silent hit after the success of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.' Seeing her in the trailer for the sequel was reassuring. But this stressed picture may have a different story to tell. (Warner Bros)

Ezra Miller's Credence was one of the crucial parts of the first movie. Turns out Grindelwald is still not done with the boy. This is Credence showing his skills to Vinda Rosier (Poppy Corby-Tuech), Grindelwald's aid. (Warner Bros)

Scamander, a nice magizoologist who should be focusing on catching fantastic beasts and introducing us to their amazing characteristics, is focusing on catching a bad guy. Sigh. (Warner Bros)
