An Alaskan woman's six year experiment has gained massive attention after she posted her findings on social media.

Jennifer Lovdahl decided to save a McDonald's meal she bought in 2010. "It's been 6 years since I bought this "Happy Meal" at McDonald's," she writes on Facebook.

As proof of her work, Lovdahl posted two pictures - one of the bag with the receipt that reads 8 January, 2010 and another of the meal.

"It's been sitting at our office this whole time and has not rotted, molded, or decomposed at all!!! It smells only of cardboard," Lovdahl says of the four chicken nuggets and fries.

Lovdahl, who is owner/operator at Balanced Health Chiropractic, said the experiment was done "to show our patients how unhealthy this "food" is which has "so many chemicals". Lovdahl urges people to eat "real fast food" like apples, bananas and carrots.
