Tuberculosis is highly prevalent in India. It is contagious as the disease is airborne. TB can thus affect anyone and when you live in dense populous cities and towns in India it becomes one should be careful.

Tuberculosis is highly prevalent in India. It is contagious as the disease is airborne. TB can thus affect anyone and when you live in dense populous cities and towns in India it becomes one should be careful.
1. get BCG vaccination, especially for kids and newborns.
2. Avoid spending long periods of time with people with TB, until the patient has been treated for at least two weeks
3. Use face masks in case there are people around you who have TB or are highly prone to get TB or you work in place where getting the disease is very likely.
4. Make sure if anyone who is constantly around you TB that they finish their course
5. And last but definitely not the least, have a lifestyle that helps you have a good immunity, i.e. eat more proteins, have healthy diet, exercise, take enough rest.
