After healthy drinks and diet supplements, Healthy Eggs have entered the market having all the qualities desired by a health freak. What’s more, healthier eggs are priced just 20% higher than the normal eggs available in the market.
Besides being perfect in shape, size and colour (spotless outer skin), healthy eggs are odourless, cholesterol-free with no fat, have all the necessary nutrients in required proportion, hatched naturally or organically, is a rich source of Omega PF13, DHA, Vitamin A, B, D3…and the list is long. These eggs are also easily digestible and have a great taste.
“Health conscious people always prefer food items grown naturally. People have options of organic fruits, vegetables and cereals. Now they also have an option of organic eggs. Every care is taken from hatching to transportation of these eggs,” said Sanjay Patel, MD of Biotech Group.
The company has introduced healthy eggs under the brand name of Yolky.
According to Patel, it is for the first time that such eggs have been introduced in India. Currently, they are available only in Gujarat.
Healthy eggs are rapidly gaining popularity among the health conscious people of Surat. Besides health qualities, the price is also not much. These eggs are priced only 20% higher compared to ordinary eggs. While the price of routine egg is Rs4 per piece, healthy egg costs Rs5.5 a piece.
“There is huge demand for these eggs and people prefer it than routine eggs. After every 7-8 days, we have to order new stock. Majority of consumers are youths and professional people, who are concerned for their health,” said Vijay Bhandari, an egg whole-seller in Udhna.
