Celebrate World Heart Day with first ever crowdsourced music- the heart song

On September 29, 2014, dna will be celebrating World Heart Day in unique form of music called the 'heart song'.  

World Heart Day is celebrated across the globe to create awareness on heart diseases. 

In today's age, heart ailments have become common among Indians too. In 2010, heart disease was cited as the no. 1 killer in rural and urban India. Studies have also pointed out that 3 out of every 5 woman in India develop the risk of heart disease.

In this scenario, dna has put forth an initiative to promote healthy heart in the country. On World Heart Day, dna will be launching the 'heart song', the first ever crowdsourced song made using the sound of heartbeats. The 'heart song' shows how every single heartbeat sounds the same bringing out the commonness in humanity.

dna has found great support to make the 'heart song'. Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and several readers of dna helped record their heart beats for the song.

Musicians Purbayan Chatterjee, Atul Raninga and Indrajit Dey have composed the song. The video has been made by Berwin Dhanjal.
