Bill Clinton's foundation collaborated with American Heart Association 10 years ago to empower next generation to have a healthier relationship with food and fitness and to fight childhood obesity.

Clinton Foundation with American Heart Association has been slowly and steadily achieving its goal, as the number of calories that American children take in each day has been going down every day, childhood obesity rates have decreased, schools are serving more nutritious food to kids who have also reduced consumption of processed food and sugar-sweetened beverages, the CNN reported.

According to the national figures, more than 95 percent of schools across the country meet up with federal nutrition standards for meals. The foundation, started by 68-year-old former US President also motivates children to do 60 minutes of physical activity each day to ensure better build up of muscles and limbs, and formation of healthy habits.

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation is all set to soon launch the #Commit2Ten campaign, urging everyone to add an additional 10 minutes of physical activity to a day.
