Fabrice Mathieu has turned the dream of all Star Wars and Alfred Hitchcock fans to reality with this insane short film.
Named "Darth by Darthwest" conspicuously after "North by Northwest", the epic thriller from the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, it was a mashup of the final scene of the film where the star and the hero of the film, Cary Grant is chased down by a plane.
However, this time the plane gets swapped by a TIE fighter with all their laser guns a-blazing!
That is not the end of it. The Millennium Falcon that saves Grant is navigated by R2D2 and C3PO.
It is a full-throttle no-nonsense edit that does not intend to make a funny spoof; it seems more like a short film that keeps the excitement and the sanctity of both films intact.
