A TV channel hosted a function to honour 24 real-life heroes and invited icons Aamir Khan, Sachin Tendulkar and Mukesh Ambani to be part of the awards ceremony.

Aamir Khan was his usual humble self as he acknowledged the contributions of these common folk while Sachin Tendulkar showed particular affection and caring for the handicapped among them.

Mukesh and Nita Ambani were in their element with this cause that seemed to be close to their heart, while Yash Chopra shared the stage with the rest of the celebrities.

Others who attended the function included Sachin’s wife Anjali Tendulkar, Suniel and Mana Shetty, Bijal Meswani and cricketers Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan and Sanath Jayasuriya among others.
