Rani Mukerji, dressed in a sari, said she was gratified to receive her award for a film she had worked hard on, at the Lions Gold function. Rani also mentioned that it was the causes that the organisation supports, that pulled her in to attend. R Madhavan walked in sporting a jacket, while Divya Dutta glammed it up in a gold sari. Sonu Nigam attended with wife Madhurima and son Nevaan and the youngster received his first award ever for a song he had sung. Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor were the anchors for the evening and television actor Aamir Ali, who performed during the show, got into a playful interaction with them.  Sayali Bhagat and Krishika Lulla, Rohit Shetty and Rukhsar came in as guests. Bappi Lahiri who’d just landed from Abu Dhabi, attended the function for a while and then had to leave early to catch another flight overseas.
