Raell Padamsee welcomed guests to her Shabana Azmi-starrer Broken Images with a red carpet reception. Javed Akhtar and Shabana’s sis-in-law Tanvi Azmi came to watch her after having supported her during the rehearsals. Nawaz Modi Singhania was heard raving about Shabana’s performance saying that only an actress like her could have done justice to the role. Queenie Dhody came dressed in a black top while Kabir Bedi who came with Parveen Dusanj was dressed for the Mumbai winter. Niraj and Minal Bajaj, Sharmilla Khanna, Nandini Sardesai  and Anil Dharker were among the other guests. Javed even went backstage to offer his wife moral support which was duly appreciated by Shabana who apparently had butterflies in her stomach.
