Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan hosted a special evening commemorating Harivanshrai Bachchan, one of Hindi literature’s most popular writers. And naturally, Bachchan’s descendents were present in full force. While Big B’s family came to the venue much in advance to make sure the event was well planned, down to the last T, the guests started arriving much later. Om Puri was one of the first ones to come in, followed by Goldie Behl who spent quite some time chatting with the media. They were followed by Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma and son Rahul. It was quite amusing to note that while the senior Sharma wanted to hurry past the security to go into the auditorium early, Rahul urged his father to pose for some camera moments. Similarly Ishita Arun pleaded with her mom to stay on longer outside the venue. Bikram Saluja and Schauna Chauhan walked in late. Wonder why Bikaram looked so upset and sullen?
The crowd erupted when the Bachchan family walked out to greet the media along with close family friend Amar Singh, as they sported traditional white attire. While Jaya and Abhishek did most of the interaction, the Junior B even giving autographs to bystanders, Aishwarya was spotted on more than one occasion in deep conversation with Amar Singh. Also present at the venue were Shweta Nanda and Ajitabh Bachchan.
Ethnic threads: Abhishek, Aishwarya, Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan
