It was amazing to see around 14 ghazal singers, from veterans like Rita Ganguly to Anup Jalota, Talat Aziz and Peenaz Masani to freshers like Raavi More and Neha Chimmalgi come together to launch the eigth year of Khazana, the ghazal festival in aid of cancer patients through the CPAA (Cancer Patients Aid Association). Pankaj Udhas who has been at the helm of affairs since the beginning announced that this year's festival will be dedicated to the legendary Madan Mohan. Rajeev Kohli, son of Madan Mohan showed a film on the legend which got almost everyone in the audience emotional. Bhupinder who has sung for Madan Mohan went on stage soon after to talk about his association with composer but couldn't speak much as he was in tears. He excused himself by saying, "I can't talk anymore right now." Friend Talat Aziz quickly consoled him. Kohli noted that Madan Mohan never won a film award. "But this tribute is a great reward for his work." An emotionally charged affair.
Starting out: Raavi More
