What better way to usher in the weekend than by watching a zippy Mumbai play under a canopy of stars in the middle of a vineyard, a little outside Nashik? Class of ‘84 is among Rahul da Cunha’s most successful plays and the setting was quite grand — a Greek amphitheatre specially built for the purpose. Rahul said he was quite impressed that a crowd of almost 300 turned up at the venue which was hosting a play for the first time. He said, “It is wonderful to stage a play away from the confined limits of a stage.” Before the play started, Rahul and Rajit Kapur were seen sauntering around in pyjamas and cut-offs surveying the venue. Post-play, the cast indulged themselves in wine and cheese tasting and happily posed for photographs.
