1. Suit Suit: Listen to the original version composed by Intense for Guru Randhawa featuring Arjun and compare it to this version “composed” by Guru and Rajat Nagpal for the film. Let me know how different you found it. Wondering why T-Series even bothered labelling this a “re-created” track.

2. Hoor: Atif Aslam is in mellifluous form for this lilting track (composed by Sachin-Jigar)  that starts out as a semi-classical piece, very shaam ka ghazal-like (the tabla and harmonium in particular) and effortlessly ease into a lounge-beat with guitar, drums and piano taking centrestage and washing over you. Priya Saraiya’s verse is evocative imagery at its simplest best.  By the time it ends, you wonder why and wished it lasted far longer. It’s rare for a song to do that to you.

3. Oh Ho Ho Ho: This is the exact same track as Ishq Tera Tadpave by Sukhbir. Except for the part where Ikka raps. You’re not fooling anyone, T-Series and Abhijit Vaghani.

4. Ek Jindari: Taniskaa Sanghvi rocks and rules this Sachin Jigar composition. The Kumaar verse sounds aspirational. Of having one life and forging forward and fulfilling one’s sau khwahishaan. A decidedly rock vibe, right to the very end, this one is the album’s crowning glory.

VERDICT: Sukhbir and Guru just find themselves on repeat runs, with nothing new to really put out in terms of production or composition. Just shows laziness on the part of the people who put the album together. Sachin-Jigar save the day, originality-wise. With two tracks, they prove why they’re currently counted as among the best in the industry.
