Sure the Bachchans handpicked the guests for the very 'private' Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding. But what came as a surprise was the apparent exclusion of writer and film-maker Gulzar from the event.
Incidentally, Jaya Bachchan and Gulzar's relationship goes back a long way. In fact, so fond is Jaya of him that she even addresses him as 'bhai'. One wonders what could be the reason for his absence! It may be recalled that Jaya's milestone films including 'Koshish' and 'Parichay' were directed by Gulzar.
