The Tamil movie 3, starring Dhanush, has been one of the most awaited movie of the season, thanks to the internet sensation, Why this Kolaveri Di.
But, while the movie releases worldwide today, it won't release in Mumbai.
Fans in Mumbai will have to wait until the last week of April or the first week of May to catch the movie, and that too a dubbed Hindi version of the love story.
A source in the know said, “The Tamil version of 3 hits theatres on March 30. Hindi audiences will have to wait another 3-4 weeks for the film, dubbing for which is underway. The Hindi 3 will not be the exact dubbed version as certain changes are being made keeping in mind the Hindi-speaking audiences.”
The source informed that the Tamil version will not be released before the Hindi version for a risk of losing out on audiences.
“The practice is not to release a Telugu or Tamil film if a dubbed Hindi version is being made,” said the source.
Starring Shruti Hassan and Dhanush, 3 is produced by Dhanush’s wife and Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Soundarya.
