A review of the year 2012 by a website has thrown up adult film star-turned-actress Sunny Leone as the most searched celebrity, beating Bollywood’s top heroines, thanks to her entry in a reality show Big Boss and her debut film Jism 2. Conducted by Yahoo!
India, the review reflects topics that dominated the daily online habits of Indian net users across 15 categories, combined search trends with the editorial selection of what users read, recommended and shared most on the network in the country during this year.
Interestingly, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s post-pregnancy weight gain fuelled huge Internet gossip, making her the ‘Celebrity in the News’ ahead of the Khans, Kapoors and Katrina Kaif!
The most sought after celebrity couple in India was understandably Saifeena. Where will they marry? Who’s on the guest list? What will they wear? Internet users couldn’t get enough of this hot couple.
When it comes to best dressed celebrities it was expectedly the stylish and suave Amitabh Bachchan and fashionista Sonam Kapoor.
