In a closely matched contest, actor Hrithik Roshan was voted the best TV show host in a survey conducted recently. Actor Amitabh Bachchan, who’s show is scoring the most right now in terms of TRPs, came at a close second, while actor Akshay Kumar ranked third. The fact that Hrithik had got the highest opening (a cumulative TRP of 4.7) for a reality show this year also helped him clinch the deal, feel industry insiders.
“Hrithik emerged on top in a survey conducted across 3,548 respondents to determine the best television show host in India. The TG (target group) was 15-44 year olds, females and males in the SEC ABC and among Hindi GEC viewers and Hrithik was voted the best host on a reality show. He scored over Amitabh and Akshay,” read the survey conducted by Ormax Media, a research and consulting firm specialising in the media and entertainment industry.
Hrithik, of course was happy when he received the news, but the first reaction came from his good friend Karan Johar who told After Hrs that he has never missed an episode of Hrithik’s show.
“There could be no other choice for this show, but Hrithik. What he brought to the show with his presence no one else could have. Not only is he the best dancer we have, but also someone who is dedicated, sincere and a perfectionist,” said Karan.
However, there have been no confirmations from Hrithik whether he will be part of the second season of the show.
