Who stunned on the Grammies’ red carpet?

Yesterday, at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony international music stars made a fashionable splash on the red carpet. As always, there was a bunch that did justice to the outfits they wore and many more who could do better if they paid heed to what their stylist advised them. Fashion designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed says that he was “quite disappointed with the turnout this time. However, Fergie looked divine and so did Rihanna and Gwyneth Paltrow in their sexy outfits.”

Designer Lina Tipnis also picks Fergie as one of the best dressed from the awards function this year. A tangerine see-through outfit may not find favour with most, but Lina says that it is bold. “Fergie looks stunning in the Jean Paul Gaultier design. It’s a bold outfit and she’s been able to carry off in an eclectic way… not many can carry it off like she has,” defends Lina.

Designer Mandira Wirk picks Katy Perry, who turned up in a sparkling ice blue flowy Elie Saab number, as the best dressed at Grammy’s. “Katy’s a quirky dresser, so it was surprising to see her wear a Cinderella gown of sorts this time. But she accessorised it to suit her personality—even her hair had a crayon blue streak and it aptly brought her wild side out,” says Mandira.

Designer Rajat Tangri is all praises for Rihanna who turned up in a custom made Giorgio Armani dress. “It was probably one of the simplest outfits – plain black with deep cuts – but Rihanna carried it off so well! She finally looks like she’s coming of age, the plunging neckline and the bare back scream sexy and that she’s not a kiddo anymore. And don’t miss the killer look she’s sporting on the red carpet either,” says Rajat.
