DNA polled the industry for young talent and actor Ranbir Kapoor emerged a clear winner
When asked, says actor Deepika Padukone, “From the new generation, I think Ranbir will be the superstar in the next decade. He has the potential and passion for cinema. I have known him well and I think he has the right balance of what a star requires. He is also a very fine actor.”
Interestingly, Deepika and Ranbir share a history of sorts as they were seeing each other earlier. Apparently when their relationship ended, both of them seemed uncomfortable speaking about each other. So it was a pleasant surprise when Deepika chose Ranbir over others in this poll.
Meanwhile, Ranbir returned the compliment by praising Deepika.
He told DNA, “It’s really kind of her. I think Deepika is the future. She is very hard working, very talented and amazingly beautiful. I think we have so far seen only 10 per cent of her on screen.”
