Mumbai: Action superstar Jet Li was joined by Bollywood stars John Abraham, R Madhavan, Pooja Bedi and Jacqueline Fernandes, as part of the initiative to build houses in Thailand -- part of ex-President of US, Jimmy Carter's initiative, One Habitat, last week.

John and Madhavan spent two days building houses for the homeless and ended up being great friends with Li.

John and Madhavan spent two days building houses for the homeless and ended up being great friends with Li. Remembering the experience, Madhavan says, "I cannot describe how fantastic the experience was. Jet Li is an extremely intelligent and well-read person.
His enthusiasm for charity is outstanding and he does charity very intelligently. He doesn't look at charity as an option but as a responsibility. He makes it so simple too. Like for instance, he has requested all Chinese people to decide on one day and take their own cups when they visit a coffee shop; the money saved on paper cups would go for charity. You won't believe the amount of money that can be saved in this manner."

Madhavan says he could build almost one house in two days, along with those people who are planning to stay in the house. John was not available for comment as he is said to be suffering from a bad case of food poisoning after returning from Thailand.
