What made Aamir Khan’s ex-wife Reena teary-eyed at Imran Khan’s wedding?

It was an emotional moment for actor Aamir Khan’s former wife Reena Dutta when she first saw her teenage son Junaid walk in through the gate, looking all grown-up in a formal black suit.

“Reena was happily chatting with her friends, sitting on the carpet covered stairs (that led to the venue) when Junaid entered. She couldn’t hold back her tears the moment she saw her son,” says a source.

Interestingly, Aamir made his mark in Bollywood when he burst on to the scene wearing a similar black waist-coat and tie, strumming a guitar in the song Papa kehte hain (his debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak) in front of thousands of screaming female fans.

“The expression of the ladies sitting beside Reena was also interesting. They too went ‘oooh’ when they saw Junaid. Daughter Ira joined them, and Reena went inside the (party) venue accompanied by her kids,” the source adds.

Till now, Aamir has made no announcement that Junaid will step into films and it remains to be seen whether he fills his dad’s shoes when his nephew (and incidentally the groom too) has stepped into an actor’s shoes so easily.

“Little Ira was also wearing a green ghagra choli. Aamir’s children later went and joined him at the party,” the source adds.

It is not known whether Aamir had the same expression as Kiran’s when he saw Junaid.
