What is Shahid Kapoor’s six-pack secret?

Shahid Kapoor admits that he really finds it difficult to “maintain his abs” on a strictly vegetarian diet. But that he is ready to go that extra distance for his hate of flesh!

“The biggest challenge in front of me was getting a six-pack with a vegetarian diet. You know how it is. For building up muscles, one needs to have enough supplies of protein. Now, my body doesn’t get animal protein so I have to make up for the loss of it,” he says.
The actor admits that there are times when he finds it extremely difficult to go on with his work-outs and to maintain a strenuous work-out routine. “Maintaining a six-pack is damn difficult. You need a lot of motivation and a lot of dedication for it. But thank God, I have plenty of it,” he adds.

Shahid’s online fitness video that features his trainer Abbas Ali has also got a lot of hits from his fans.

“The video tells everybody about my work-out schedule as well as my diet. So if you are worried about your vegetarian  diet and still dreaming to have six-pack abs, here’s your way out,” he adds.

The seven part video includes warm up session, core abdomen training. The video follows the concept of circuit training,it is a combination of high-intensity aerobics and resistance training designed to be easy to follow and target fat loss, muscle building and heart-lung fitness.

“The video also follows the principle of Parkour conditioning,it is a non-competitive physical discipline of French origin in which participants run along a route, attempting to negotiate obstacles in
the most efficient way possible, as if moving in an emergency situation, using skills such as jumping and climbing, or the more specific Parkour moves. A display of the same was also shown in the start of Daniel Craig’s Casino Royale. The last part of the video talks about the diet and the importance of fats, carbs and proteins in your everyday diet,” added a source.
