Wanted: Salman Khan-Prachi Desai!

It was not too long ago that actor Prachi Desai shot for a detergent advertisement with actor Salman Khan. The two were a fresh pair and that was a plus point for the brand as the ad became extremely popular on television. So much so that fans of the respective actors are now up in arms against the brand that has replaced the actors with new brand ambassadors. Divulging a few details, a source close to the actors reveals, “The advert has struck such a chord with the audiences, that despite having shot new adverts with two different models, the detergent company continues to use the Prachi-Salman ads because of its immense popularity.”

Apparently, the sequel to the ad was being awaited by Salman’s fans and they are disappointed that Salman has now been replaced by some other actor. “The chemistry between Salman and Prachi was remarkable in the video. The ad has become very popular and the advertisement on youtube and Facebook has received plenty of comments. Fans posted comments saying they were now looking forward to its sequel. And even the duo continues to get messages till date as to how well they complimented each other. This is perhaps the reason why the company has not aired the newly shot commercials with the other actor,” reveals the source.

A source close to Prachi says, “That ad has been special to Prachi because she got a lot of positive feedback for that one. On learning they both had been replaced with new actors, both decided to move on as replacing brand ambassadors is not a new thing in Bollywood. However, what they don’t like is that the brand still continues to air their ad despite having signed new faces. This clearly means that people only want to watch this ad.” Well, let’s see if Salman and Prachi are again signed back on as brand ambassadors on their popular demand!
