Viru-Basanti a pair up for TV

In a first, veteran actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini will participate in a reality show together. It has made their daughter and actor Esha Deol happy as she has apparently always wanted to see her parents on screen together again for a long time.

“Dharmendra and Hema Malini will appear together for Shatrughan Sinha’s show on a regional channel. They have known Shatru for a long time and when he made a request, they just couldn’t say no,” says a source.

Dharmendra and Hema will be on the hot seat of the Bhojpuri version of the quiz reality show hosted by the actor-politician. His daughter Sonakshi Sinha was the earlier celebrity on the show.

“Hema and Dharmendra had a fun time answering the questions. Hema stunned Dharmendra with her general knowledge. The shooting also went off smoothly, but we cannot tell you how much they have won,” the source adds.

Even though their daughters also wanted to be on the show, they were not a part of the shooting.

“It was Esha’s dream to see her mom and dad on the big screen again. But somehow this never happened. So, when she heard that her parents were going to shoot for a quiz show, she was ecstatic. Esha has told all her friends to catch the show, even though it is in Bhojpuri,” the source added.
