Vidya Balan on cloud nine

Actress Vidya Balan who apparently has yet to start shooting for any of her new films, is said to be happy with her film The Dirty Picture finally getting a clearance to be aired on TV. The actor who will soon begin shooting for her films including Ghanchakkar with actor Emraan Hashmi is also said to be equally thrilled with finally getting to try her hand at an out and out comedy. “I have always wanted to do comedy. It could be slapstick or subtle, but I am looking forward to having some super fun moments laughing on screen and making people laugh off screen,” she’d earlier said.

Having garnered much acclaim for her heroine-centric films, right from No One Killed Jessica to The Dirty Picture to Kahaani, the actor says that though it’s great to get such strong author-backed roles, that’s not the criteria for her.
