A home movie of screen legend Marilyn Monroe smoking marijuana has surfaced after 50 years. Shot at a private home in New Jersey, the film was tracked down by Monroe memorabilia collector Keya Morgan, who bought it for £1,65,000, reports The Sun.
In the silent film, the Hollywood icon looks relaxed and puffs on a "cigarette", which the film-maker says contained marijuana. The Some Like It Hot star is also captured sniffing her armpit and giggling in the reel, said to date from 1958-59.
Morgan said, "This is a side of her we've never seen before." Marilyn, who was addicted to barbiturates, overdosed in 1962 on Nembutal and chloral hydrate. It was estimated she had taken 50 pills.
