Veena Malik lashes out on Mohammad Asif again

Actress Veena Malik has again lashed out against her former boyfriend Mohammad Asif with whom she was rumoured to be secretly married. Veena has said that the former Pakistani cricketer has only himself to blame for the debacle.

Asif was found guilty of match fixing charges by a court in London and now faces imprisonment or a fine. Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt and pace bowler Asif became the first cricketers ever to be convicted for fixing a part of a match by a 12-man jury at London's Southwark Crown Court. The court found the duo guilty of “conspiracy to cheat” and “conspiring to accept corrupt payments” during the Pakistan-England Test match at Lord’s last year. Veena Malik was one of the few former close friends of Asif, who suddenly decided to come on record and say that Asif had a connection with the bookies.

Veena, while speaking to a channel in Pakistan, squarely blamed her ex-boyfriend for bringing shame to Pakistan’s cricket body.

“Asif was involved in these types of activities (involved with bookies). I was the only person who would tell Asif not to take part in such activity,” said the actor to a Pakistani TV channel. Veena also said that she felt sorry for the cricketer because he had always told her that cricket was his first love.
She also apparently said that Asif was very clever and never felt same over these accusations.

“I don’t think that Asif would learn any lesson from current verdict,” she added.
