TV channels across are paying tribute to late superstar Rajesh Khanna by playing his songs or showcasing his films. Music channel 9X Jalwa is dedicating eight hours of their programming to the romantic hero. Starting July 19, the channel has been showing hit songs and the stupendous movie career of the superstar from the mid ’60s to the early ’80s. The special programme will be continue till Sunday, July 22.
Movie channel Zee Classic is devoting the entire Sunday to the superstar by showcasing his films from morning 8 am to late in the night. The hit movies include Kudrat, Andaz, Bandhan, Saccha Jhoota and Aashiq Hoon Baharon Ka. Another movie channel MAX aired Kati Patang, Aradhana and Amar Prem yesterday as part of a tribute to the phenomenal star.
The singing reality show Indian Idol aired on Sony will have the contestants singing the melodies of the late star including Zindagi Pyar Ka Geet Hai, Zindagi Ka Safar Hai Ye Kaisa Safar and Kora Kagaz Tha Yeh Mann Mera this Saturday. Even legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who is co-judging
the show will be singing his songs and revealing anecdotes related to the superstar.
