Tina Dutta's spiritual high

I do believe in karma. I believe that whatever we do in this life comes back to us in some form or the other in this very life. It could return immediately or at a much later stage, but come back it certainly will. I also think that we are all here to achieve a
specific goal. That goal is usually spiritual, although one may fulfill it in various ways, through one’s chosen field of activity.

I and my entire family are followers of the great Guru Durgaprassanna Paramhansa Deb who lived in Kolkata. I also have faith in Durga, Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva. I pray daily for half an hour before leaving for work. I admit that I enjoy the ritualistic act of bathing the deities, dressing them up, applying tilak and lighting up a lamp and incense sticks. There is also a special mantra given to us by our Guru, which I chant daily.

I firmly believe that every single turn that your life takes, no matter how insignificant it may seem at that time, is directly
responsible for you being the person you are now. All the little incidents earlier in my life have been responsible for bringing me to the world of acting. They are all inter-connected. Also, one should be grateful for our current situation and whatever it brings to us, because that is what will truly make our future better. All the
natural talents and skills we possess have been provided only for this purpose of improving our lives.
