The one-stop destination for wedding shopping

For those planning a wedding, the Marwar Mega Wedding Show being hosted at World Trade Centre from August 26 to August 28 promises to provide answers to all your worries. Sponsored by Royal Challenge in association with Kothari’s Sun Jewellery, Barwee Fashions and Zee Trends, this is the sixth year of the show.

Right from trousseaux and bridal wear, jewellery and décor to caterers and honeymoon packages, the Show provides all the services you can think of. “A wedding in India is the most anticipated event. This is reflected in an industry which is estimated at approximately Rs 80,000 crore and growing”, says Smita Anand, director, Mega Wedding Show.

This time around the show has some very interesting workshops conducted by professionals from the industry. Some of the sessions to look out for are fine dining by Rahul

Akerkar, spa and salon treatments for the metrosexual man by Franck Provost, India, bedroom makeovers by Krsna Mehta, nail art by Bhavna Shah, bridal makeovers by Ameeta Kapur, wines by Sula Vineyards and flower therapy by Renuka Chawla.

Another highlight of the Mega Wedding Show is the fashion show displaying bridal wear by designers like Tanishq, Priya and Chintan, A D Singh, Shyamal Bhumika, Prashant Ghosh, Aishwarya Design Studio, Komal Agarwal, Rima Tulsiani and Bawree Fashions.

The show will feature some of India’s top models including Fleur Xavier, Tapur Chatterjee, Vidisha Pavate and Upen Patel and will be choreographed by Anu Ahuja.
