Swiss wedding for Viviek’s ex-flame Gurpreet

Gurpreet Gill now plans an Indian marriage in Mumbai.

While Praful Patel’s daughter Avni’s getting married today, Viviek Oberoi’s ex-flame Gurpreet Gill had a lavish church wedding in Switzerland yesterday.

Speaking to After Hours from Switzerland an excited Gurpreet said, “It’s a great moment for me. All the credit goes to Daniel for going that extra mile. He’s the one who has made it so special just for me.”

Gurpreet will be back in Mumbai with her Swiss-Spanish husband to have an Indian style wedding complete with mehndi and the sangeet ceremonies. “The Indian wedding is spread out over three days - from November 5 onwards. The wedding is on November 7,” she elaborated.

However, Gurpreet — who has also been linked in the past to restaurateur Rohit (Timmy) Narang — wants to keep the whole thing low-profile.

“At the end of the day, it’s a private affair, not a circus. And come to think of it, I’ve been in the limelight mainly for my relationships — and look what has happened to them! No more.”
