In an effort to create AIDS awareness among citizens, a Surat-based filmmaker will soon be making a film on HIV patients named Salaam Zindagi. The film will be produced by city-based Abhishek Galshar and is based on the life of a social worker who suffers from the deadly disease. The film will be a Hindi movie but will have a Gujarati background, says the producer. The lead character of the movie is a woman social worker who gets infected by H1N1 virus while spreading awareness.

"To give it a more realistic touch to the film, I have decided to shoot scenes at various tribal locations of Dangs and Surat district. It took more than three years to prepare a script that was different and fresh from other movies on AIDS. I have completed the recordings of the songs and will start shooting next year," said Abishek Galshar, producer and director of the film.

Galshar is planning to use 50-55 garba and garba tunes of 60's and 70's, to give the film an original Gujarati look. However, he is yet to finalize the cast for his movie.

"As lead role of the woman, I have decided to cast an artist from National School of Drama. Other artists will be from local theater groups. I have contacted few artists and will finalise the cast in coming few days," said Galshar.
