Sundays are a luxury: Sonakshi Sinha

Considering the hectic lives that actors lead, any holiday, be it a Sunday or a Monday is a boon for them, especially when you are at work 365 days a year.

“Being an actor is a nine to five job, every day of the year, so any day off is like a huge luxury for us. I don’t remember the last time I got a Sunday off, though most people around the world have that one day off. Sundays are usually a family affair for me and since I am not very big on going out and partying, I like to stay cooped up at home with my family and some good food for company,” says actress Sonakshi Sinha.

The young actor, who made her debut with Dabangg in 2010, has been working non-stop for her films, some of which are up for release.

The actress who is currently shooting for Rowdy Rathore reveals her Sunday plans. “Usually, my Sundays begin very late — way past morning. I love sleeping and my profession is such that I have very hectic schedules and erratic shifts, so unfortunately I don’t get to sleep as much as I would love to. On Sundays, I catch up on my sleep. I wake up really late, have a superb ghar ka lunch, cooked by mom and then I go back to have an afternoon siesta. In the evenings, I like to watch movies or TV shows or catch up with my friends. I usually end the day with a good dinner or a movie with friends and head to bed early.”

While most actors her age prefer to go out partying, Sonakshi loves spending her day off at home with her family. “I am currently enjoying myself. I am not too much of a social person. I don’t have a big friend circle and I am a very low-key person. We go out in groups, but I don’t like to party too much. It is usually a very private affair with dinner. That’s about it. I like my Sundays easy,” says Sonakshi.
