Sonakshi Sinha's hat-trick with Akshay Kumar!

Actor Sonakshi Sinha is one of the few lucky star kids to have made it big with her debut film. After Dabangg in 2010, the pretty lass went on to sign more projects with actor Akshay Kumar — Joker and Rowdy Rathore. And the news is that she has now been signed on for Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai’s sequel, which will again see her with Akki! This will be Sonakshi’s third film with Akshay and the industry is also abuzz with gossip of how Sona could be the next Katrina, who was also paired with Akki in several films at a stretch. Sonakshi will be seen playing a gangster’s love interest, (played by Akshay) in the film.

A source says, “Sonakshi shot to fame overnight with her debut film and was also appreciated for her acting skills. She has been taking each project after thorough scrutiny. It’s a trait that is not so common in other young actors. Hence, if Sona is doing three films with Akshay then surely she knows that their pairing will be loved.”
But Sona is definitely not restricting herself to roles opposite Akki alone. She is also doing films with her Chulbul Pandeyji (actor Salman Khan) and also rumoured fling, actor Ranveer Singh.

“Sona is a smart girl and she knows that just doing films with one star will typecast her. So besides Dabangg 2 with actor Salman, she will be seen in Lootera opposite actor Ranveer Singh. With five films already in her kitty and plenty of endorsements, Sona’s strategy surely seems to be working in her favour,” adds the industry source.
