She’s the only Indian celebrity to have been invited to the popular Teen Choice Awards in LA. Actor Koena Mitra has been hobnobbing with Hollywood stars over the past 21 days.
Koena was most thrilled about her encounter with the American rapper Snoop Dogg at the premiere of the movie Takers.
The actress complimented him on his music as she is quite fond of the beats.“I had worn a sari that day. Snoop said that he loved my drape,” recalls Koena. “I then explained to him that it was a sari. I told him that I really liked him in the video where he was dressed like a sardar wearing a pagdi.”
The actor recently was a judge at the America Miss India awards, and has been receiving positive reviews about her dress sense.
Hollywood designer Gina Alexander plans to launch an entire range of bags in her name.
A source close to the actress informs, “The buzz is that she’s been flooded with offers, and none feature her playing the demure Indian girl. They call her a star with an Indian face and international body, and want her to be styled on an international note,” adds the source.
