London: English actor Sir Ben Kingsley has agreed to be the guest at India's oldest and most prestigious film festival in Goa.

Goa chief secretary Sanjay Srivasta has confirmed that the Gandhi star will attend the inaugural function of 40th International Film Festival Of India (IFFI), to be held in the state capital on November 23 as a guest.

The state's chief minister Digambar Kamat said that all arrangements for IFFI will be completed by November 11, reports the Mirror.

The festival will also have stars from the Indian film industry.

The Oscar-winning actor is starring alongside Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan in a thriller film titled Teen Patti.

The storyline revolves around a reclusive maths genius who becomes involved in the world of gambling. The name is a reference to a popular game of three-card poker.
