Simon Cowell plans to revamp 'X Factor'

Music mogul Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to revamp singing reality show The X Factor by letting the singers create their own music.

"The idea might be to allow for more original music throughout the competition. Whether this means they will be writing their own songs isn't confirmed, but it's looking like it's going that way," Thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

To encourage genuine talent, Cowell will also include aspiring musicians recommended by music industry bosses. The show will welcome bands and artists who already have management deals but are not yet signed to record labels.
