In the middle of an uproar about Bipasha Basu being molested in a car by organisers of a show in the United States comes some sobering news - she wasn't really molested. So what was that all about?

"I was not molested," Bipasha told After Hours from the US. "But I was upset with the bad arrangement and the misbehaviour of the organisers. I come from a profession which deserves respect and I demand respect too."

The drama started when Bipasha - who arrived two hours late for the India Day Parade put together by the Indian Business Association in New Jersey on Sunday - went on stage only to accuse two people from amongst the latter of having harassed her physically and mentally.

While Bipasha has not yet lodged any formal complaint, the Association is already accusing her of breach of contract -- by arriving late for the function.

The entire incident has cast a shadow over the Indian Business Association which is desperate to minimise the damage to its reputation. According to a spokesperson of the Association, an investigation is being conducted into the matter.
